It felt like the staff there should start a hospitality training business or something, because they were absolutely incredible. Knowledgeable, friendly and super helpful. The first one made us feel welcome and made sure we had everything we needed and were fully settled. The second one was amazing and let my partner and I stay in the lovely, homely living room to have complimentary tea and pastries. We were then shown to the beautiful private garden to chill out before we set off. There was no rushing us away after check out. The guest house itself is stunning, and gives you that warm home feeling. The room and bathroom was spacious. Everything was perfect.

The Ayrlington is an excellent bed and breakfast hotel. The staff were very attentive and the breakfast was very good and the staff serving very attentive, The quality and variety of the breakfast was excellent, the eggs royale was especially good. It is an easy, 15 minute walk to the town centre, where there are lots of restaurants to choose from to eat an evening meal, or visit the attractions. The map issued by the receptionist on our arrival was very useful, we gathered that not all hotels were as attentive to their visitors needs. This is especially useful as the tourist information centre has been closed.

I loved everything about the Ayrlington and will definitely stay there again. Even though I was travelling solo, I had a double bed in 'Rose', which was south facing with wonderful views across to the city. The room would have been fine even for a couple, with a nice large shower. All the staff were really friendly and helpful, even carrying my suitcase up the stairs for me - thank you! I didn't have breakfasts as I ate great meals out in the city, and wasn't hungry enough for breakfast. Excellent location, and felt safe walking back there alone in the evenings.

We loved this hotel. The room was beautifully decorated, clean and well appointed, the location was perfect, just a 10 minute stroll to the City Center and the staff were welcoming, warm and helpful. In fact the staff, especially the reception team, really made our stay feel so special, they were so accommodating and friendly. Our only regret is that we didn’t try the breakfast, but given our experience of the rest of the hotel, I have no doubt that it would also be great. Thank you Ayrlington for a wonderful stay

Location is excellently situated for walking into Bath. The staff were very friendly and helpful with directions and food recommendations. The room was very good, it was a little hot when we went but there was a fan in the room. The bathroom in particular was fantastic, the shower phenomenal. There was a garden and good parking. We were on the top floor but was fine to walk up them. Seemed fairly quiet and windows that could open
